Konig Laboratorium Uriseptin contains Cranberry Juice extract from Vaccinium macrocarpon and D-Mannose which have been traditionally used for preventing the reoccurrence of urinary tract infections, in particular caused by E. coli bacteria.
Both Cranberry (1) and D-mannose (2,3,4) prevent the bacterial chili from attaching to the urinary tract wall. By stimulating diuresis, the bacteria are flushed away by the urine flux. The diuresis is stimulated by Juniperus communis which also has an antiseptic effect (5) as well as Uva-ursi (6) and Betula pendula (7)
